KHCAKaren Herkes was a much loved, hard working member of the Australian SF community who dedicated countless hours of her time, largely behind the scenes, to maintain the Conflux conventions as events where SF creatives could gather and connect every year.
Conflux is excited to open nominations for the Karen Herkes Community Award to recognise those who show selflessness and sacrifice for the benefit of the Australian creative community over the last 18 months. Any active member of the Australian creative community is eligible. If you'd like to nominate someone against these three criteria, please submit a statement of 300 words providing the nominee’s name and why you think they deserve the award. Nominations will close 20th September and the Conflux Committee will select a winner to be presented at the convention’s closing ceremony. Send your nominations to [email protected]. |
